The CDPHE in conjunction with SEMTAC has revised their Chapter Two, Emergency Medical and Trauma Care System  Standards document to include the Prehospital Trauma Triage Algorithm.  (see attachments – CDC guidance/Ch 3 Trauma Designation (page 53 Level III and IV criteria).   Our responsibility as SWRETAC is to review and revise our the RETAC specific section (last approved 2005) to fall in line with current guidance by the state as well as accurately reflect our EMTS system for optimal patient care.  Keeping this in mind we need your assistance! 

Our goal is to have representation from all facilities and pre-hospital care agencies as we discuss potential changes.  The FINAL meeting of this task force will be held on Monday June 6^th from 9-11 via webinar at READYTALK  (registration link: https://cc.readytalk.com/r/ibh92j1gwmpl)  The objective of this meeting is to further define what "closest appropriate" terminology means in regards to the recommendations at the last meeting.  We welcome input from all stakeholders as we move forward with presenting this document to the board on June 8th for approval and submission to SEMTAC.
